This should remind you that we have no idea of knowing whether an alleged "roadside bomb" that kills civilians was actually a roadside bomb or not the doing of somebody else.

Well, the Haditha events have been like a bad smell for the last couple of months: reports indicate some 24 civilians may have been killed in reprisals by US Marines.

It will be good to bring the outcome of the investigations into the open, but I suspect the truth is rather more complex than it appears.

You seem to get a perverse giggle of some sort out of this. You are very quick to judge before all the facts are in. Even if it's true and the men are guilty, it's not funny. These guys have been through hell on earth with a cowardly enemy who uses civilians to aid in their strikes at the expense of a trusting soldier who trusts a woman with explosives strapped under her robes. Pathetic.

I dont quite grasp why would we want to use roadside bombs to kill civilians. Getting hot temperd and flipping out and killing some civilians is tragic, but plausiable. But a pre-planned IED?

Just a comment. These guys were in a unit that was on its third deployment to the sand box. Think that might have had some effect on them?

Indeed, this is just another chance to stir up trouble and bring the anger and angst he seems to thrive on. Besides, how can we discuss this with third hand information, we weren't there and don't know all the facts. Its all hypothetical supposition. I only hope and pray this isn't another witch hunt.
