| Nuclear Duck Hunter ![]() | Post; Does Anyone Remember...Anyone remember what a lister bag was? Also, somewhere on the forums, someone asked where the term "Geronimo" used by WWII paratroopers came from. I read in the book "Beyond Band of Brothers, Major Winters' Memoirs" that there was a popular song at that time named "Geronimo" and it came from that song, but was discouraged by the Officers and training cadre.

| Chief Engineer ![]() | A lister bag is a canvas bag used to hold water for dispensing to troops during field exercises, etc. It ha a couple of dispensing spouts near the bottom. It was about two feet in diameter on the bottom and usually hung from a tripod or a tree branch.
