Post; Diving - PADI

Hey Guys,

I just found a diving school near my work and after checking it out it seems like a pretty good place to learn to dive. They fed me all the usual sales crap to try and get me to buy, and I am interested. They are part of "Padi" www.padi.com which they said was world recognised.

I thought I'd run this name past you guys first, this is chia and deception is the rule

PADI is one of the world most popular, if no the most popular diving certification programs so if it's an official PADI center you should be safe..

You could try to check and see if you find your center on this page:

I've got PADI Advanced Open Water myself and I'm going to take the Rescue Diver course in August.

Thanks mate,

The link pretty much says the same as the pamphlet the gave me. I'm guessing/hoping that some people here can let me know whether this place is infact credible or not. Websites are not hard to build, pamphlets not hard to print.

has anybody here used them? heard of them etc...?

Regards

Keith

I did a PADI approved course at Mick Simmons Dive Centre in Sydney in 1964. I only dived for a few years and then moved to the country. No doubt many things have changed for the better in that time.

Have a chat with your instructor.
If he is former military you´ll 99% of the time be golden.
ex mil. divers never put their students in dangerous situations, at least that is my experience.

I am PADI certified, took it with a mate who is a former attackdiver.
Now he has his own shop.
