My experience is: A Chef makes inedible art, a Cook makes food designed to be eaten and enjoyed rather than judged on is presentation and artistic merit. It's like the old saying, "You can't judge a book by it's cover" similarly food that has to be "prettied up" is generally lacking in substance and edibility. |
