Nice one Scott!!!

A book was written about it. Can't remember the author but will find out.

Maybe not a battle but a bloody big fight!!! I think an Aussie soldier was shot dead. Someone may have more info on this.

Lol.... This fight started over an American MP asking an American GI for his leave pass and the aussies stood up for the American GI. You cant really be too surprised though, when Americans, Brits, or aussie soldiers are within the same area something is bound to happen. Arrogance at its finest.

Could you please just make one thread called "This Day in Australian Military History", and post each day in that on instead Scott?

It's good info, but it wil be a bit easier to find it if you did that.
