Another gutsy effort by the Aussies!!!! The battle is not always well recognised in history. Tough jungle warfare against a desparate Japanese defense.

Doug MacArthur (that big actor!) accussed the Aussies of being too slow!!!

Your right, a not often mentioned effort by the Australians. We had fellas fighting with inadequate equipment and sick as dogs, but they did the job they had to do. Here's to them.

both my grandfathers will in WW2
neither spoke much about what they did, they focused thier post war lifes on thier families.
