Post; Danner Mountain boots in Afganistan


This was just in the Army Times. The US Army has ordered about 6,000 Danner Mountain boots. These are different than the boots the USMC has ordered from Danner. I was not able to find the exact boots the Army ordered, but they look very similar to the Danner hiking boot pictured below. The article said it was a short term solution to how the mountains of Afghanistan tear up boots until a new boot can be decided upon

Mountain Warfare school itself reduced the life span of our boots drastically. I can only imagine how bad the real thing would be on any pair of boots.
