Post; Cuba Wraps Up Military Defense Exercises (AP)

AP - Cubans awoke to air raid sirens Sunday and practiced shooting, putting on gas masks and doing duck-and-cover drills as the communist nation wrapped up a week of preparation after Fidel Castro's government has warned against possible attacks from the United States.

My question is why does the Beard still think he's even worth invading?

yeah i would have to agree with you 03. i don't really see anything in Cuba worthwhile... i mean there are things there that i would like to see go... Like the BEARD - but invading Cuba wouldn't do the US any good.

Darcia, you need a better explanation. Let me tell you one thing, there is absolutely no such thing as "better people to destroy."

In my opinion, the United States striking against Cuba is unnecessary. I am confused of the reason that Fidel Castro still holds the belief that Washington is posed to strike against him. Probably the apprehension of Saddam Hussein made him increasingly weary of his position in power. But, these are mere inferences.

No, it's just a little demonstration to the Cubans to keep them focused and in support of Castro.
it reminds them what all their suffering is about.

Castro just needs to relise that the USSR lost the cold war and we no longer have any true strategic intrest in Cuba right now.
