Hi,

Dugal it's Plan and Simple ..

Americans will say Counter-Clockwise.

We Across the Ocean would generally Say Anti -Clockwise

Like wase in US people will say Antenna and we will say Ariel ...............Similarly ..........

(US) ---------(UK)
autumn ---- fall
apartment----- flat

................there are many More

They Pronounce (US) Letunent and we Leftinent .................it's the UK -US English Divide .

I think it was George Bernard Shaw who refered to the different lingo used by Americans and those of the UK and Commonwealth as...

"Two peoples seperated by a common language"

I think it was Fred Astaire who sang:

you say either and i say either (eether/eyether)
you say neither and i say neither (neether/nyther)
either, either, neither, neither
let's call the whole thing off

you say tomato, i say tomato
you eat potato and i eat potato
tomato, tomato, potato, potato
let's call the whole thing off
