| Forums Grumpy Old Man | Clemens didn't come off as being truthful when he appeared before the Congress. Many of his statements appeared to be evasive ... and ... when questioned about one of the people that had testified against him (close friend), he said the individual was an honorable person who to his knowledge, had never lied ... then he turned right around and denied what this person had testified to. There were way too many inconsistencies between his testimony and the testimony of those who testified against him. It is no wonder that Congress is calling for further investigation as to whether Clemens had lied to them.
