Nothing this guy says would surprise me. He's got a history of trying to grab headlines with off the wall statements. He sounds a bit paranoid to me but he is certainly free to say whatever he wants in his own country. If he wants to spend the money to build up his military, that's between him and his fellow Venzuelans. He's probably right that the US government wouldn't mind if he went away So, what's your take on it sunb!? I hate newspapermen. They come into camp and pick up their camp rumors and print them as facts. I regard them as spies, which in truth, they are. Gen. W.T. Sherman |

I think you can add schizophrenia to that touch of paranoia that's bothering the man. What surprised me is the UN assembly allowing this guy and Mugabe to address the assembly where they called President Bush and PM Tony Blair Hitler and Mussolini. Then they received an enthusiastic ovation from the audience. Limbaugh said they reminded him of a bar scene from one of the Star Trek movies. “War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.” —John Stuart Mill |

I heard about this a while ago. I will tell you, it's not the first time he has said that.
