Cargo ship Hekla

In Paul Carell's book "The Foxes of the desert" there's a undated report of an Allied ship washing ashore near Bardia where it was found by members of the German 33rd Reconnaissance Unit. Apparently abandoned after her bow was blown off. Can't find anything by that name who's loss matches the area.

There are reports of the tanker Pass of Balmaha being abandoned off Bardia, German reports show it as sunk and British reports say it was towed into Tobruk.

This was a cargo ship, they describe luxuries such as hundreds of bottles Scotch on board.
