Bill Sizemore makes his 10,000th trap aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). Sizemore was piloting an F-14D Tomcat assigned to the "Blacklions" of Fighter Squadron Two One Three (VF-213). | Forum Health Inspector | No idea, but think about it for a second -- let's assume as a carrier pilot: - you're at sea for about 9 months out of the year; - that equals about 270 days each year; - you fly about once a day, maybe just a bit less; - so you make about 250 traps a year (just to make the math easier). It would take you 40 years to make 10,000 traps. So this guy has basically flown two missions/sorties a day for 20 years!
