Can I join the Army with an anxiety disorder?

Brenden, don't know what the 'new' Army is all about,in the 'old' Army, the DI's would dog you, harass you and do anything they could to break you. They were weeding out those that could take the stress from those that couldn't. A panic disorder may not exclude you from military service, especially if you excel in the battery of test they throw at you during your induction, but it will certainly make life difficult. But then, I speaking from a time when DI's would actually scream and yell in your ear. Perhaps things and DIs have changed since I was in. Then, there is combat, you don't know stress until you have someone trying to kill you. Saw kids that had no diagnosed disorders, freak out and even freeze under fire.

I went thru basic in 1966.
They were strict and harassed the hell out of us as was expected.
None of the moronic screaming in our faces and ears like you see in today's representations. Never figured out the effectiveness of that stuff other than for movies.
