AP - Britain's chief prosecutor and ex-government legal adviser dealt new blows Wednesday to Prime Minister Gordon Brown's faltering plans to tighten terrorism laws, saying tougher measures are not needed and likely to stir ill feelings in Muslim communities.

OK - but Oh dear - offending Muslims again - that would never do! How about Brown being wrong on the score of infringing liberty generally. Never mind offending Muslims here - they must seperate themselves from the terrorist agendas or accept the consequences. British can't possibly remain so tolerant for ever.
