Official facts and figures answering the first post is ok:
-military men available?
-training?
-Technology?
-Military equipment used?
-Vehicles used? How much? How good?
-military spending/ money spent on defence?
etc...

Having some trouble finding the comparative numbers for the UK, but here are some numbers for France, taken from the Top Ten Biggest lists.
France - 531 Combat Aircraft
France - 62,600 Naval Personale

This Wikipedia article gives some info on how many Tanks, ships, planes etc. Britain has.

Theres lists of equipment on each website, it doesnt say how many there are on the army website but it does on the navy and airforce websites.

By this, I assume you mean in terms of quality per size, is that correct? I think that the British Armed Forces is excellent, but I don't think that they'd surpass the USA in overall strength.

The numbers certainly do stack up in favor of the French in the comparison. The experience factor stacks up in the UK's favor.

hmm, according an earlier post, the French outnumber the British.. wont that be in the favour of the French?
I mean I know training and experience etc.. play a role, but it wont be that of a big difference..
