Post; Brilliant Tactcians/Leaders of History

This tactcian was a great general who is usually overlooked when great leaders are listed but I believe Nathan Bedford Forest (CSA) was definitely a general that could be considered one of the best.

This has already been done here:

and here too:

Most basic questions like this have long been done by now. Always search before starting a new topic and you'll save yourself from watching your topic hit the hall of shame.

Even though this is a repeated topic, I'll insert my two cents.

1. Erwin Rommel
2. Patton
3. Doolittle (Leader of the American counter attack on Tokyo after Pear Harbor)

I hope I spelled 3's name right. That's why I told who he was.

Have you read Churchill's biography of Marlborough? Probably his best writing...

I have to agree with Wellington.

I would also add:

R.E. Lee - He was brilliant and audacious - he just didn't have enough resources to carry out his plans.
Stonewall Jackson - Lee's strong right arm - with the exception of the peninsula he was an incredible General

And I have to agree about Forrest - he was an absolute racist so-and-so, but he was arguably the best Cavalry General in US history.
