| Forum Health Inspector | Post; The Briefing to End All Briefings...AS AN ARMY PARATROOPER, I had the opportunity to make a drop from a C-5A Galaxy, so I grabbed my gear. A jump from this heavy transport is difficult because paratroopers sit in the upper level for takeoff and later don chutes in the cargo bay below, before exiting through the rear of the aircraft. The morning of the jump, I stood amid 60 anxious troopers waiting for the crusty jumpmaster's briefing. "Today's operation will be conducted in four phases," he began. "First, everyone outside the aircraft -- inside; second, everyone downstairs -- upstairs; third, everyone upstairs -- downstairs. Lastly, everyone inside -- outside. Any questions?"
