Post; BRAC (Base Relocation And Closure) Fort Knox

The U.S. Army has decided to move the Armor School to Fort Benning, Georgia (Home of the Infantry) as part of it's BRAC plan to save over 14 billion in the next ten years. What gets me thought is that it is estimated that it will cost ovr 10 billion to move the School, then modify the ranges and other area's at Benning then Knox must modify it's housing and ranges to fit the influx of infantry, cadet command, and Enviormental something or another.

What in God's name was the DOD thinking?
