| Optio | Post; Black Hawk QuestionOdd question I got from watching Black Hawk Down: How do the men stay in the Black Hawk when it's turning? Are there handles to hang on to, or are they strapped in?

| Milforum Swamp Dweller | Some are strapped in, that is correct. The benches on Little Birds also have belts. AT least, that is my knowledge. The operators have to have SOME way of not getting thrown out when the helo is banking, descending, etc.

Handles, yes. Or sling ropes snap linked to a D-ring on the bird. It helps if you can have one line attached to the pilot's balls for little birds.
