These are still funny after all these years. Mr Mauldin was once called into Gen. Patton's office and old blood and guts threatened him for drawing pictures that showed officers in a bad light. Gen. Eisenhower told him that he thought it was a great idea and ordered Mauldin to keep drawing for Stars and Stripes because it helped boost morale.
