| The fire is everything... ![]() | The term "Redlegs": Artillerymen are often referred to as "redlegs" for two reasons, dating back to the 1800's. Red appeared on two artillery uniforms, 1) when artillerymen wore uniform trousers with a two-inch red stripe, and 2) when red canvas leggings were worn by horse artillerymen. http://www.landscaper.net/artillery.htm Welcome back Gunner13, hope you had a great Saint Barbara celebration. |
