Post; Befehl ist Befehl!

I have been following the news for quite some time now about Afghanistan and Iraq and I am rather skeptic about both wars. And even though I am a supporter of our armed forces I feel rather ambiguous about these two. IMO we have good men dying over there because of some political game. I know that you have to follow orders and good military orders will probably save lives.
But what can a soldier do when he has severe problems with an order issued by his political leader? Does he has to lose his life because some vain representative wants to get even somewhere on the globe? This realisation keeps troubling me.... what can you do when a vote-winning order can get you killed? I am all to glad I am not in this predicament. How do you guys think about this?

You sign up knowing what may have to be done. People aren't conscripted & sent to the middle east (To the best of my knowledge) so theres no real issue in my mind.
