Post; Battle of Leyte Gulf: Could the Japs have won?


The Japs were seriously outnumbered by the allies in this great naval battle of the Pacific theatre in WW2 but could they have won instead ? would love it if you could check out my war junkie blog at www.warjunkiez.blogspot.com and do leave ur comments........

Hmm had Kurita pressed home the attack on the Taffy 3 group he would almost certainly have destroyed them leaving the invasion fleet at his mercy so yes the Japanese could have won the battle (although they would have lost ultimately once Halseys fleet returned).

in my opinion, if e Jap naval code was not broken, e Allies wouldnt have known their defensive plans......and e total radio silence that e Japs had totally ruined any form of coordination....
