Post; Baseball Naming Rights

http://cleveland.indians.mlb.com/new...=.jsp&c_id=cle

un. freaking. believable.

Next up: Renaming of Yankee Stadium to Macy's Field.

Corporate naming rights make me sick. They replace old, traditional names, with the names of companies. (the Peach Bowl, played for over 60 years, recently became the Chic-fil-a Bowl.) I HATE THIS!

It prevents the team from having a true home, when the names change every 15 minutes due to company collapses (Enron Field, Houston) or corporate buyouts (BankOne Ballpark to Chase Field, Phoenix). not to mention the fact that some of them sound completely rediculous (Gund Arena to QuickenLoans Arena, Cleveland)

People or cities. keep businesses out of this! At least the cities or people won't go out of business!

***END RANT***
