| Optio | A little off subject, and I'm sorry, but wow... it censors h.e.l.l. but it lets me say things that are worse than that.

| Tirones | Post; Hitler's MoustacheHere's the "Hitler's Moustache" quote that was requested: "Well, I'll tell ya, I wouldn't want to be a replacement officer coming in here. Getting thrown in with a group of guys who've known each other for what? 2 years? Who've been in combat since Normandy. You're supposed to just show up and lead them? How does a guy do that? How could anyone really hope to gain the respect of the toughest, most professional, most dedicated sons of b*tches, in the entire ETO. Huh? If you ask me, a guy would have to march off to Berlin and come back with Hitler's moustache or something." - Lipton |

| Optio | What am I suppose to tell these parents? Your going to say what you always say, that there son died a hero. You don't really still believe that do you, not after all we've seen. I mean how do I tell these parents, there son didn't even make it out of the GD plane. What you reading? An article. No ****. What's it about? It's talking about why we're fightin the war. What's it say? It says Hilter's bad. You guys, ____ readin an article and supposedly Hitler's bad. Glory, Glory What a hell of a way to die, Glory, Glory What a hell of a way to die, Glory, Glory What a helll of a way to die, he aint gonna jump no more.

| Tribuni Angusticlavii | At flight training this summer, we had a guy who looked exactly Lewis Nixon. He even sounded like him. We all got him saying "It's a can of peaches, Sir."

| Tribunus Laticlavius | Any ever see a photo of the REAL Captain Lewis Nixon. There is a picture of him in the BOB paperback. Ron Livingston (the who played Nixon) looks just like him I was surprised who physically similar they are. My forvorite quote both in the Book and the movie was at the very end: Grandson: Grandad are you a hero? Grandfather: I said 'no'...but I served in a company of heros. |
