Australian WWII vet dies @ 106 info

Read a brief notice that Arthur W. John of Cheltenham, Victoria died @ 106, had served as a Major in WWII. He had also been the oldest surviving son of a US Civil War Confederate soldier!

Wow! A young boy ran away from home & joined the Continental Army as a drummer boy. He was with his Regt @ Yorktown. When he was well along in years he married a young lady & had a boy. The boy ran away from home & became a drummer boy in a Union Army Regt. When he was well along in years he married a young lady. She died in the late 1990s. So we had a lady who died in the late 1990s who's Father-in-Law was with Washington @ Yorktown, spanning the Country's entire history!
