Well i am well aware i am beating up a dead dog but a closed mouth never gets fed so i am hoping to one day break through this dark cloud following me for so many years now and finally get my chance to serve but i need constructive help please.....I was discharged from the Navy back in 2004 with an honorable discharge, completion of required active service as a narrative reason, an MBK , and a RE-4 reenlistment code ,......now i know it looks funny to have an MBK witch is a voluntary discharge which basically says i chose not to reenlist even though recommended ...but the re-4 code is the total opposite which bars me from reenlistment ..lol........now let me say that i am well aware why i was discharged ..i was no angel either lol.....i was given an honorable because of my performance within my enlistment ...i had outstanding evals ..was fully qualified within my division which was V2-AIR DEPARTMENT LAUNCH AND RECOVERY ....catapult captain ...hard charging mother****er ..and that is no **** ...i was really good at what i did and i lead my fellow shipmates just as well .....but the command gave me an honorable for that ...thank god.......the mbk was given with a characterization narrative reason completion of required active service due to the fact that i was at the end of my enlistment and the commanding officer at that time reviews your record to determine whether or not you are eligible for reenlistment .....he chose other wise obvioulsy because i was given an RE-4 CODE ......but had mercy i assume and just gave me an mbk whitch is not abnormal it has been done before ..but to very few ....but like i said i was an outstanding sailor as far as getting the job done ..........my total time in was 4 years i served 2000-2004......aboard U.S.S. ENTERPRISE CVN-65....I have on record 2 DUI ....YES 2 OF THEM OFF BASE THOUGH ...THOSE WERE CIVILIAN ....AND 3 NJP....ONE WAS FOR DRUNK AND DISORDERLY ,....ANOTHER FOR BEING U.A. FOR 5 HOURS ....LOL...I CAUGHT A FLAT ON MY WAY BACK TO BASE AND WAS LATE ...**** HAPPENS BUT I TOOK THAT ONE RIGHT UP THE ASS..LOL..LOL.......AND THE LAST WAS PROVOKING SPEECHED AND GESTURES ....I TOLD A FELLOW SHIPMATE TO GO **** HIMSELF AND IF HE DIDN'T GO ON ABOUT HIS WAY I WAS GONNA KICK HIS ASS ...NOTHING MAJOR JUST A SIMPLE LITTLE ARGUMENT IN WHICH FELL INTO THE WRONG OFFICERS EAR PASSING THROUGH THE P-WAYS AND BASICALLY WROTE ME UP......THE LUCK OF IT ALL...LOL....I KNOW I AM WRITING A BOOK HERE BUT I AM VERY DETAILED ...I AM NOT HERE TO JUSTIFY MYSELF AT ALL ...I MESSED UP WITHIN MY TIME IN THE MILITARY AND MY COMMANDING OFFICER DID NOT GIVE ME THE RE-4 CODE IN ERROR I HAVE READ SO MUCH ON IT BUT THE BOTTOM LINE HERE IS THAT DUE TO MY CONSTANT ALCOHOL INFRACTIONS IT COST ME MY CAREER BUT THE SEVERITY OF IT DID NOT SINK IN UNTIL I WAS DISCHARGED ....I HAVE BEEN SOBER SINCE 2004 ....I HAVE COMPLETED ALL NECCESSARY ACTIONS AS FAR AS TREATMENT ...I AM NOT SAYING I WAS A FULL BLOWN ALCOHOLIC EITHER PLEASE DO NOT GET THAT INCLINATION EITHER ....I WAS LIKE EVERY OTHER PERSON WHO DRINKS GOES TO A CLUB ....HAS FUN WITH HIS BUDDIES ...ETC ETC .....BUT THOSE DAYS HAVE BEEN OVER AND DONE WITH ........IS THERE ANYBODY IN THIS GOD GIVEN EARTH WHO CAN WAIVE THE RE-4 CODE AND DUI.........????.........THAT IS MY QUESTION !!..LOL......I HAVE BEEN SO STRESSED OUT NOT BEING ABLE TO SERVE AND PLAY MY PART THAT IT LITERALLY MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH ...AND AT TIMES BRINGS ME TO TEARS BECAUSE I WAS SO BLINDED BY MY OWN IGNORANCE BACK THEN THAT THE EFFECTS OF IT ARE STILL HITTING ME TO THIS VERY DAY ......I WANT TO SERVE !!!!.....I WANT TO THAT OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW THE MILITARY THAT I AM AN ASSET AND NOT A LIABILITY ..........I JUST NEED THAT ONE PERSON IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE ..I AM SCREAMING FOR THE CHANCE ..!!!!.....MY PERSONAL CONTACT ......ramon091@verizon.net....... any recruiters any advice is very much welcomed and please do not write back with anything but positive things ..i am well aware of my mistakes and i do not need anybody badgering me......because remember things might be good for you now but all it takes one time ..one moment for your opportunity and career to go down the toilet ...you might one day be on these forums screaming for help so please stay positive i would greatly appreciate it thank you ..........P.S.
