Charge 7

It all depends on how many wolves the plan to release. Remember unlike big cats, Wolves are Pack animals, so a range can contain many family members. I'm sure they just didnt decide to release the wolves with calculating the open space, game, climate, reproduction, etc. There is a differnece between the extremists at PETA and actual Biologists. The people who plan these projects know a heck of a lot more about wolves than you or I. Besides Wolves have always been part of th NE ecosystem. Thats why they say "reintroduce". If it hadnt been for our ancestors who hunted them into extinction, they would still be there. The reason we have so many deer (I was 40 miles from Rutland VT) is because our ancestors unwisely hunted them to extiction.

Upon reading this talk about relocating wolves, I just did a quick search on the net just to see how it's been working out so far. Being no wolf expert myself, I just have to take these folks' words on the subject.
Let's see some of what I found.

Hmm, now I wonder what would happen in VT and the rest of our region?

Uh, just about every Vermonter owns a rifle or pistol of somekind. We have some of the most liberal gun laws in the nation. My answer to your question is there'd be alot of jackets with wolf fur trim.

My point exactly Charge. It hasn't worked in all the areas I listed so, what makes some people think it's going to work in the Northeast?
