Post; Angry judge questions U.S. death case against Moussaoui

Judge halts Moussaoui death trial for 2 days

Quote:
ALEXANDRIA, Virginia (Reuters) - A federal judge on Monday put on hold the death penalty case against September 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui, declaring angrily she found it "very difficult" to proceed since a government lawyer improperly shared information with witnesses.

Amazing.

Wow.... nice piece of showmanship. But for a trial which could result in a death penalty it is quite wrong. Doesn't he get acquitted because the whole trail isn't private anymore? Who could give an objective conclusion to this trial...... I hope the jury can!

No the "privacy" of a trial has nothing to do with this. The fact is that the TSA lawyer is being accused of coaching witnesses and that's a no-no as that would introduce the possibility that their testimony would be slanted as a result.
Here's a quote from the judge "In all the years I have been on the bench, I have never seen such an egregious violation of a court's rule on witnesses"

What's a TSA lawyer? Is he like a d.a? As I understand it, he should have kept his mouth shut right?
