I'm a bit skeptical on that Beretta carbine, do you know if it's any good? Does it just come in 9mm?

Im all for a militia as long as they conduct themselves according to the law. Just because a militia practices with weapons, doesnt mean they should only be called upon for protection. Local authorities could use their help for search and rescue operations, etc. if absolutely needed. This doesnt mean they have to be armed walking into the area to be searched. It could be a useful tool to aliviate the need for bringing in resources from out of state. A militia isnt just for shooting the bad guys which the extremists groups gave them that persona.

Before you decide to join a militia, you may want to check with your law enforcement agencies to see if the group your looking at has good or bad credentials. Just because a group claims to be patriotic, doesnt mean they have the same sense of patriotism as you do.

The Beretta CX4 Storm is one well built pistol caliber carbine. It comes right nw out of the box in 9x19mm Parabellum, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP. In the near future it will also chamber the 357 Sig. Nice thing about the Storm is that it will work off 92FS/96FS magazines for the 9mm and .40 S&W and it will work off Cougar magazines for the .45 ACP.

Also, the PX4 Storm, Beretta's new pistol uses the 92fS/96FS magazines for the 9mm and .40 S&W and it will also be released in .45 ACP and 357 Sig in the near future. Both are Beretta's new firearms for the 21st Arm Market. Both are intended to use the same magazines.

As for the Militia being more than a Combat Group, I have always veiwed the Militia has being able to help in Search & Rescue work, Releif Work from Hurricanes and such, and even something as simple as support for local law enforcement during traffic details and citizen's crime watch.

If they are there for extra security, and public protection, then they have my thumbs up!

Those guys work with Law enforcment, then they have my approval!
I think its a good idea, but, I hope it doesnt get over done, Civilian soldiers maybe just the thing this country needs for anti terrorism at home.

True Freedom Fighters! Glad to have em!

No. Its what ever they can order out of a magazine or buy at a military surplus store.

The only "militia" equipment I have is a cheap pouch for my AK mags, a swedish helmet and a "better dead than red" patch.

And also a big Gadsden Flag which I will carry into battle if needed.

Most militia memebers get a uniform camo pattern that works well for their area of operations.

Most units standardize their patterns but some have no standards so their members wear different patterns. Very popular patterns are Woodland, Flectar, MARPAT, and Tiger Stripe.
