Post; AMC '34 What is this ???

While cleaning up and digging through an old box of stuff my departed Dad had left, I found a paper weight. The weight is in the shape of a Campaign Hat about 3 - 1/2" diameter. It has the initials AMC '34 embossed on the hat rim. There is an acorn hat band. I've tried to include a picture. Can anyone identify this for me?
I have more pictures if needed.

Thanks,

Can't find anything else military related with the letters AMC....

Do you know what your dad worked with between WW1 and WW2?

Post; Aviation Maintenance Chief ???

Someone, on another forum, thought it might stand for Aviation Maintenance Chief.

I dug out Dad's papers. He enlisted 14 August 1950 and was discharged 6 July 1954. He was an A/1C in the 76th Air Rescue Squadron - 11th Air Rescue Group - Air Rescue Service - APO 953.

His papers show he went from SB-29 Eng Mech to SB-29 Crew Chief.

So, it could be Aviation Maintenance Chief, but, what would the '34 mean?
