Irkut Corp.'s Irkutsk Aircraft Building Plant Supplies the First Two Su-30MKA Fighters to Algeria

The Irkutsk aircraft building plant, a branch of Irkut Corp. has supplied the first two multifunctional fighters Su-30MKA to Algeria. Specialists of IAZ already arrived to the base of the Algerian air force. They will assemble and maintain the Su-30MKA airplanes during the warranty period. Two test pilots of IAZ will go to Algeria in January of 2008 to test the assembled airplanes after which they will be officially handed over to the Algerian air force. According to the contract, IAZ will ship another batch consisting of two SU-30MKA airplanes to Algeria until the end of the year. In February of 2006, the contract was signed on supply of 28 Su-30MKA airplanes to Algeria.

Unlike MIG the Irkut Corp got it together and may even come in early on this deal.
