I saw an article on this and an Australia project similar to the Land Warrior System.

Because the assault rifle component is a steyr, just like the g36 or xm8 is a component of the OCIW

Give me a F88 Steyr AUG A4 any day. But then again, I still love the Steyr like it is now.
