F-15 at AERO INDIA -- USA participated for the First Time

Over 350 leading companies will showcase their aircraft and aerospace equipment at the Aero India 2005.

Besides, exhibitors from 30 countries, including the US, Russia, Britain, France, Israel, Italy, Germany and Poland, will be showing off their wares, ranging from frontline fighter jets to sophisticated avionic systems, at Aero India.

There will be daily flying displays featuring some of the most advanced and sophisticated aircraft.

Indian aviation products and aircraft like the advanced light helicopter, light combat aircraft (LCA), intermediate jet trainer and the indigenously assembled Su30MKI would be on display.

The biennial exposition has gained the status of a major aerospace event in this part of the world. Over 250 companies, including 176 from abroad, and delegates from 24 countries participated in Aero India 2003.

The exposition, which will continue till Feb 13, is being organised by the department of defence production.

In an attempt to further enhance the cooperation with China, India has invited a delegation from the neighbouring country for the Aero India 2005 beginning here on Wednesday.

China would be among the 35 foreign delegates participating in the Aero India which was growing by stature with every edition.
