Yes they did agree to divide the world into 2 parts, essentially the West for Germany and the East for Japan.

They may have shared intelligence but you may know that Germany's intelligence network was greatly compromised for most of WW2 although I'm not sure if Japan's was affected the same way.

As far as war materials go I don't think there could have been much trade simply because by far the largest country in the world seperated them and she was hostile. There were no air corridoors and the sea lanes were very long, contested and hardly practical in peacetime never mind in war.
