| The moment that Germany invaded the USSR, they were committed to that conflict as their primary objective. Japan was committed to "never bloodying our nose against the USSR again". So when Germany invaded the USSR, most of the possibilities for strong cooperation between Germany and Japan were put on hold.
Had Germany been successful in overcoming the Soviets, they would have been in far better position to work together against the USA and the UK. Especially the UK and their empire. With Germany striking into Africa and from the West of India and Japan coming from the East, the British Empire could have found itself in trouble very quickly. Take away Africa, Australia and India and if the British Isles are still standing, they are severely weakened in terms of resources.
The USA is problematic since their strength and resources are all inside the USA and they are protected by Oceans.
