china today do have some very advance technology lately, just go to china's army forum as i posted the sources there.
invading a country isnt easy either. there are plenty of examples. even if u manage to beat the army, u cannot really beat its people. like Iraq today.
also today china has ICBMs which could blow up the world several times, so no country could really win a war with countries that has nuclear weapons. |
I think you greatly over estimate China's technology while underestimating Japan. China can not destroy the world many times over like you said, France and the UK probably can't, the US and Russia can however. China only has a handful of missiles that can hit the US. Japan has ever right and plenty of reason to be building up their armed forces, China is an aggressive country who is building up their own military, in the future Japan's Navy will be one of the first weapons used to stop Chinese expansion should they attempt to invade Japan, and Japan's Navy has a large head start on China, who has a brown water fleet and only a handful of ocean going combat vessels.
China's power is land based, a few miles of water are all that are needed to safe guard a nation from China, Russia has more to fear from China than Japan. Southeast Asia is in trouble as well as some of the former Soviet Republics, maybe even Pakistan and India. In 20 years China may have more of a Navy, but if Japan's military budget keeps increasing or at least stays the same then Japan will have the edge in a war with China, they probably wouldn't be able to defeat China, but the same is probably true when turned around.
