| I believe the technological gulf between China/India and the US is still very big. When the F-22 comes out along with the JSF, the difference will be more evident.
Plus American warships simply outclass the Chinese counterparts by a huge margin.
Not to mention, the sea-land-air coordination capability of the US is ahead of everyone else, maybe with the exception of some Western European countries.
Though China and India's potential are very big, they're not exactly there yet. If for any reason a war broke out, the Americans would probably still win and all the most expensive works in those countries will be destroyed.
Remember guys, potential doesn't mean you're there. It means you *could* go there in the future. Anyone who plays or follows sports will know this. A youngster with potential seems really great... they flop on a pretty regular basis. They hadn't really gotten worse in most cases, they just never improved as much as people hoped for.
For countries that have super power potential, the ball is in their court and it's up to their efforts to fulfill the potential. |
