British SF killed American PMC ? info

Was told a story yesterday from a guy I know pretty well. He told me that British SF CP members at some time in Iraq had killed an American PMC while they were on a VIP mission.

The Americans had apparently very rapidly approached the British vehicle without keeping the distance which was signaled to them, after which the British opened fire and killed the driver in the U.S. vehicle that came from behind at high speed.

Has some heard this story before? And is it true?
He usually have a very good insider knowledge but can´t confirm the story.
