Personally, I think the "Alien" movies has got to be the creepiest and scary for me, with the exception of the Predator vs Alien ones...
As for the rest of it, well, its rather entertaining, thats all.
BTW, did anyone recall the movie Starman- Jeff Bridges played the leading role, I think. That is one one good extraterrestial movie...
