It is not something that bears justifying. It just IS. Homosexuals shouldn't shunned because of their differences, they should be accepted because of their similarities (which VASTLY outweigh the differences).
But it doesn't matter... In the words of Dr. Seuss "Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind."
