Of course it's a mixed competition, "they" may
call it what they like, but so long as any member of an otherwise boys team is a girl it's mixed.
A tin of white paint is just that, white paint, but the instant I add some black paint, it becomes a shade of grey. I don't care if you or anyone else calls it white, magenta or puce, I know that it is grey and refuse to call it anything else.
Those who consider themselves "politically correct" may resort to all manner of semantics with the naming of the team, but you cannot change the facts, and some of us are still willing to recognise the facts.
If others wish to make idiots of themselves,... Go for it. Just don't expect me to join your ranks any time soon, at least while I still have all my marbles.
