Hooah! Thanks Top and everyone else...glad to be aboard.

You won't see much of me, as I typically only post in response to specific questions regarding ACA. I also monitor www.CadetStuff.org, www.CadetGouge.com and the Cadetting section of www.Gruntsmilitary.com .

The official bio is certainly long...I'm a former Navy Journalist, so nothing I write is short! I only recommend that you read it if you (a) can't sleep...it's the perfect cure, (b) are my mother, or (c) want to know what the ACA's "Blue to Green" program is all about. (after 32 years in whites I'm now playing with Velcro...uh, er...."hook and loop" or whatever the Army calls it ...Top, you may have to guide and retrain me like I'm a 2LT! What part of Florida are you in?)

I've been involved with Cadetting for a long time, and have seen a lot of changes in the military, young people and how we as a nation respond to the concept of service. Despite some occasional challenges, it's still fun and keeps me motivated every day! In fact, I have five different meetings this weekend here in Texas (on the road for my civilian "paying job" as a DoD consultant), all with people who want to become involved in the U.S. Army Cadet Corps. It's great to have a positive impact on so many young people, and I'm humbled that so many exceptional adults will follow my lead.

It's always good to meet others who are passionate about service to our great nation, and especially those who dedicate their time and resources to America's future leaders. If you ever have any questions about our program, do not hesitate to ask myself or LCDR (soon to be MAJ, USACC) Chen. I plan to work him like a red-headed stepchild!

BTW - if nothing else, y'all have the coolest smilies on the 'net!

It's good to be "aboard!"

Respectfully,
