Hey I really appreciate that.
Maybe I will stop by if that's fine with you.
My old man has had his own business for the past 20 odd years and yeah it is tough. When I'm out of work I help him out (like now).
My friend I told you about who's got his own business going is also having it real hard so I also help him out whenever I can.
I don't mind manual labor... did a little construction for a short while years and years ago. And the Marines is basically manual labor. One of my additional duties was maintaining the heating system (which was built BADLY) so I know a thing or two about pipes (though I'm no expert). The stupid idiots who designed it had it made so that water would drain UP and the air would be vented out DOWN. So OBVIOUSLY it didn't work so well. Man this is a story onto itself. I actually have a crane license (Austrian) though I'm badly out of practice and I gotta say my experience is very limited. I remember one time we were just back from a FTX and we'd been out a few days and we didn't get much sleep (food, water... the usual) and when we got back around midnight I wanted to crash but I had to stay up all night just to get the damn thing working. Then I had a conversation with one of the Staff Sergeants who was on duty and said, "I love this job," and I meant it.
Having your own business or not doesn't make you any better or worse.
Personally I wouldn't want to unless I worked as a consultant (talk and let the others work hehe).
Either way, don't stick your neck out for me or anything. I really appreciate even an offer of a "maybe."
