Post; thought about the marines...

So I would love nothing more to be in the marines, but from all that I was told, what's the point of being in the marines as a female? The recruiter said, "Well, you can do anything except be in combat situations."
Right, back to that question-then what's the point?
So you want me to train to be a gourmet chef only to stick me as a fry cook at McDonalds? I think not.
Don't get me wrong though, I love you guys and have a deep admiration.
I just can't help but be a little bit (maybe more) jealous. You have my dream job.
