Austria Foils Another Terror Plot

These arrests in Vienna follow arrests in Denmark and Germany for separate plots, and the discovery in Turkey of a
massive van bomb in an Ankara parking garage.
The jihadists are swinging and missing, but the threat these plots represent remains real and growing. The most astonishing thing about American politics six years after 9/11 is its deep indifference in many places to the realities of this network and the necessity of fighting it with tools such as the recently amended FISA.
