| | $35 "laptop" infoIndia has invented one. Not military, but at costs like that, I'd be surprised if it didn't raise some sort of interest as a tool for squad leaders and above. Looks very small as well. ... But they'll probably find a way to make this $35 tool cost $3,500 each and still manage to tell everyone it's a bargain. |

$35 iPad? I'm in. Yeah, hence the word "laptop" in quotation marks. |

It won't be long before the US, Russia, China and other tech-savvy countries will send its spies to steal the technology. Or did India steal from somewhere else?

hahaha probably not an original piece of technology. Probably a very smart application of readily available parts.

Very good innovation. I hope the "laptop" for every student program works as well as expected.

There was actually a non-profit organization in the US composed of bigwigs from Silicon Valley pushing a $100 laptop for distribition in the Third World and poorer sections of the US. A couple of years ago it got a lot of press attention, then fell off the radar screen.

It was probably too hard to monetize on it and they couldn't find someone who would adopt it.
