We hunt down the bastards and kill them there. Iraq is one of the many fronts of the War on Terror. Think of it like WWII. You had the European Theater of Operations. Within that you had the Western Front, Eastern Front, and the Italian Front.
The War on Terror is the same. You have the Middle East Theater of Operations. Within that theater you have Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, and the rest of the area. Also you have the Philippines and Indonesia.
Lastly, we draws them into an area to fight our troops instead of having our troops fight them in our own home towns. Iraq and Saddam has a large player in terrorism. Iraq had nothing to do with 911. But we're not at war just because of 911. We're at war because of TERRORISM, 911 was part of. For every homicide bomber that blew himself up. Saddam would write a $25,000 check to the family of the bomber. He trained and equipped terrorist groups.
