Was Guderian so influential? I have seen quite a book reviews and abstracts lately that (1) argue against the idea of revolutionary German armoured tactics, (2) that "blitzkrieg" was only the old German WWI idea of "Vernichtungsschlacht", and (3) some really derogatory accounts of Guderian's armoured tactics and support of Hitler's war.
Now, none of that is my opinion. Nor have I read the books. Nor do I like many of the questions raised. But here they are:
